OST - trade fair postponed to October 2022
The ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK – International trade fair and congress thogether with the IVO Kongress has been postponed for a year to 14th and 15th of October 2022. The originally planned date for the ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK fair was October 22nd and 23rd, 2021. With this, the organizer C. Maurer Fachmedien and the Central Association of Orthopedic Shoe Technology are responding to the still tense and uncertain situation in the corona pandemic.
Especially for large events such as trade fairs and congresses, there is a high probability that strict distance and hygiene regulations will still apply in the fall of 2021. A trade fair thrives on visitors meeting as many exhibitors as possible – and vice versa. Above all, it thrives on communication between all participants. This could not be guaranteed in October 2021.
A trade fair thrives through communication
With a date in October 2021, one has to fear that by limiting the number of visitors allowed in the exhibition hall and on the exhibition booths, this communication will only be possible to a very limited extent. The higher costs for the exhibitors for hygiene and booth construction would very likely have to face a significantly lower number of customer contacts.
Not an easy decision
The decision to postpone the trade fair has not been easy but the benefit is that it will be possible at the postponed date in October 2022 to offer the exhibitors and visitors ideal trade fair conditions. International visitors in particular could then come again to the world’s largest trade fair within the orthopedic shoe technology industry without any difficulties. This also means that the IVO Congress, which is organized by C. Maurer Fachmedien and the ZVOS as part of the event, will become a truly international meeting place for all foot experts worldwide.
