Orthopedic bathing shoe
Made from Lunasoft SL, individually build up with soling and cap elements made of Astro Geo.
nora® cushioning materials of closed-cell EVA and light-cell rubber are used in orthopaedic aids, above all as cushioning on harder materials. The most thermoformable materials include the innovative materials Lunatec motion, Astro form 8 and 15, and Lunairmed, familiar throughout the sector. Those are optimal materials for direct contact on the body.
The EVA materials exhibit excellent thermoplastic mouldability and optimal bonding and grinding properties, have been tested extensively for pollutants and skin compatibility, and are hygienically washable.
The products used exhibit the most diverse properties depending on the patient, syndrome, treatment method, and required functionality. In addition to soft cushioning materials, there are also harder materials to choose from that assume a stabilising function. The values for Shore hardness and density indicate the characteristics of the material.
nora® materials are used in orthopaedics as cushioning in classical orthopaedic devices, as soft thermoformed funnel in prosthetics, as soft sockets, as functional linings e.g. on support orthotics and corsets, and as cushioning for femoral offsets.
